Invisalign is a new way of straightening teeth more comfortably without getting in the way of your lifestyle.
Invisalign clear aligners are made of a clear, soft material. They are custom-made to fit your teeth and are virtually invisible. Designed to use the right amount of pressure at the right place at the right time, each set of aligners will gradually move your teeth, moving them horizontally or vertically, and even rotating them if needed.
Typically, you’ll start using a new set of aligners every week or two weeks, following a custom treatment plan mapped out by your doctor to gradually move your teeth into position. When creating this treatment plan, you’ll be able to see how your teeth will move and even preview your new smile.
We often recommend wearing the aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day for the best results, only taking them out to eat and to brush and floss regularly. You’ll need to visit our Pearland office every six weeks or so to check the progress of your teeth.
Your treatment time will depend on your case, but the average case takes about 12 months for adults. Your doctor will be able to determine exactly how long treatment will take. Treatment time may vary for a teen patient.
After completion of the Invisalign treatment, it’s recommended that a retainer is used to keep your smile in position.
